Green Growth Bangladesh (GGB) fosters socio-economic empowerment across Bangladesh by addressing poverty, unemployment and financial exclusion. Although Bangladesh has made remarkable progress in reducing poverty over the last two decades, millions of people in urban slums, char lands, haor basins and coastal belts remain vulnerable to shocks, under-employment and exclusion from formal financial services.
Our work focuses on vulnerable groups, particularly women, youth and informal-sector workers such as street vendors, garment workers and waste pickers. Through vocational skills training, entrepreneurship coaching, access-to-finance linkages and mentorship, we help individuals build sustainable livelihoods and resilient households.
We partner with local government institutions, cooperatives, micro-finance providers and private-sector actors to open up decent green jobs, strengthen the informal economy and ensure that economic growth in Bangladesh leaves no one behind.
